Fifth 'Grade A' for GA
GA Pet Food Partners, the UK's largest super premium private label dry pet food manufacturer, has retained its prestigious Grade A for the 5th time, the top grade of the much coveted British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Food Safety.
It is used by certification bodies world-wide and is recognised as the benchmark for best practice in the manufacturing and retail supply chain. The 2-day on-site audit raises the standard each year for pet food manufacturers, making a Grade A more challenging to achieve.
GA was particularly praised for its IT systems, exceeding the standards required, where a paperless, ‘live’ system controls, monitors and reports all the quality systems, from the booking in of raw materials through to the dispatch of finished pet food. Further noted strengths were also attributed to the excellent traceability and instant access to all HACCP information.
